With a rich legacy as tastemakers, the team at Mr Bongo wanted to celebrate the company’s 35th year by shining a light on the label’s history, the roster’s incredible artists, new releases and reissues. We were commissioned to produce a series of printed zines as a fun and tangible way to express the brand’s heritage and serve as a giveaway for music fans during Mr Bongo events and for customers ordering from their global webstore. Each of the features and interviews included in the 32 page zines was designed to compliment the branding and album art of the individual artists. We have created 3 editions of the zine to date, which all feature original artwork married with new elements, textures and colours to work seamlessly alongside the existing Mr Bongo brand identity.
